Self-Driven Policy

1. Driver Requirements

To rent a self-driven car from AsomVoyage, the primary driver and any additional drivers must meet the following requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid Indian driver's license for "Light Motor Vehicle" (LMV) held for at least 1 year.
• Must provide a valid, government-issued ID (Aadhaar Card, Passport).
• International customers must have a valid driving license from their country of residence and an International Driving Permit.

2. Vehicle Usage

The rental vehicle must be used in accordance with the following terms:

• The vehicle is for personal use only and cannot be used for commercial purposes, transportation of goods, or any illegal activities.
• The vehicle cannot be driven outside the geographical limits of the Republic of India. Travel to restricted areas (e.g., certain parts of Ladakh, Sikkim) may require special permits, which are the renter's responsibility to obtain.
• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited and will void all insurance coverage.
• The renter is responsible for all traffic violations, parking tickets, and tolls incurred during the rental period.

3. Location Tracking

For all self-driven rentals, our platform includes a live tracking feature to enhance your safety and provide roadside assistance. By booking a self-driven car, you agree to allow AsomVoyage to access your device's location for the duration of the rental period. This data is used solely for tracking your journey on the user dashboard and assisting our support team in case of an emergency. Your location data is not used for any other purpose and is not shared with third parties.

4. Fuel Policy

The vehicle will be provided with a full tank of fuel. It is the renter's responsibility to return the vehicle with a full tank. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, refueling charges will be applied at a rate higher than local fuel prices.

5. Accidents and Damage

In case of an accident or damage to the vehicle:

• Immediately notify AsomVoyage and the local police.
• Do not leave the scene of the accident until proper documentation (FIR) has been completed.
• The rental includes standard insurance coverage. However, the renter is liable for a deductible amount in case of damage. This amount will be specified in the rental agreement.
• The insurance does not cover damages caused by negligence, misuse, or violation of the rental terms. In such cases, the renter will be liable for the full cost of repairs.
